Tradeshow Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating, and executing all Corporate tradeshows .You also may assist in the planning of some distributor co-op tradeshows, as time permits.
  • Planning and implementing event symposia and customer receptions at Corporate trade shows.
  • Working with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit; planning and coordinating the routing of exhibits shipped for the convention program.
  • Managing and executing tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. This will include developing objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events.
  • Managing tradeshow specialist contractors to assist with the execution of tradeshows. o Working with Product Marketing and Sales on the development and detailed management of budgets and activities related to each individual convention or meeting. o Generating and interpreting post-show reports. You also will participate in the selection and budgeting of tradeshows for the new fiscal year.
  • Managing payment of exhibit fees for convention booth space, secure housing, and badge registration for attendees.
  • Managing, maintaining, and recommending continuous improvements for all booth properties and convention assets. We'll also look to you to remain current on new trends in exhibit design.
  • Managing the convention leads generation process.
  • Serving as an advisor internally and externally on matters pertaining to tradeshow industry organizations’ policies and procedures.
  • Setting up and tearing down product displays in the booth, with assistance from onsite Show Services.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing various sized exhibits.
  • Experience managing trade shows within a highly regulated environment.
  • ​A proven ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Executive Management, and vendors.
  • The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to "managing" internal customers, such as ensuring that they register on time.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and with minimum direction.
  • Robust attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture.
  • A current global passport (can obtain when hired).
  • Ability to utilize computer software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • International tradeshow experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perfect English Required (native English preferred).
  • At least 1 second language perfectly spoken required among Spanish, Italian, French.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 90% of the time, but the number of days you travel in each month will vary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8 hrs/day.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and/or kneel 1-2 hours a day.
  • The ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
