Mauro Prosperi, new athlete of the Tregoo Extreme Crew

Mauro Prosperi is a worldwide famous endurance athlete, more thanks to his participation in the world’s most extreme ultramarathons, than his membership of the team which gained the Olympic gold medal in Los Angeles for the 1984 edition.

The participation in the 1994 edition of the Marathon des Sables, in particular, hit the headlines and it was the event which saw him as the key player.

In that occasion, he got lost due to a sandstorm and he was able to survive for even 10 days, becoming a model for many “survivors”. After that episode, he has taken part other times in the same competition and he still continues to plan extreme endeavours.

Tregoo has decided to support him for his new adventures, accepting him as new member of the Tregoo Extreme Crew.

Mauro is planning the circumnavigation of Sicily by kayak, solo and completely independent with regard to energy and food self-sufficiency, during which he will use the 40-120 Solar Power Station installed on his kayak as well as the Tregoo 10-50 as backup energy storage.

Furthermore, Mauro is going to participate again in the "Marathon of the Sands" which is still one of his favourite challenges, though the past extreme experience he lived in 1994.
